My Daily Life

My Daily Life

Md Rezaul Karim Mridha

Yesterday was a very busy day for me.

I went to East London Seminar Hall at 10:00 a.m. and then joined a training session organised by the London Bangla Press Club. The session started at 10:30 a.m. Before the training began, we had some refreshments.

The trainer was Journalists Masud Hasan Khan, and the main topic of the session was Artificial Intelligence (AI). We discussed how AI can make our lives easier, but also whether it could make us lazier. We also discussed whether AI is good or bad for society and our daily lives. More than 80 journalists attended the training session. The lesson lasted for about one hour.

After the training, I went to a large demonstration in front of Tower Hamlets Town Hall. More than 10,000 people attended the event. There was a small stage where the Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Mr Lutfur Rahman, Apsana Begum MP, and other community leaders gave speeches. The demonstration was organised to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street.

After that, I met my colleague Mustak Ali Babul, who is the Executive News Editor of Channel S. We went to the Royal Regency Banqueting Hall in East Ham, where the Nowakhali Uthsob cultural festival was taking place. We covered the programme and had lunch there.

Afterwards, we returned to the office. I handed over my news cards to the video editor Rakib Iftekhar  for editing. The work was not finished yet, but after that I took a break to pray Asr

After that, I went to my car and drove to Mile End Station because I was going to Central London. However, travelling by car to Central London is not very convenient because of heavy traffic, the congestion charge, and the difficulty of finding parking. Therefore, I decided to continue my journey by Underground and bus.

I took the Central line from Mile End Station to Marble Arch. After exiting the station, I took a bus for just two stops. Then I walked for about two minutes and arrived at the event venue.

The event was the Curry Life Awards ceremony. A total of 41 awards were presented during the evening. I recorded the programme and interviewed the award winners, guests and organisers.

After covering the event, I enjoyed a fantastic dinner and met the friends. Finally, when the programme finished, I made my way back home.

It was a very busy but enjoyable day. I attended a training session, covered a large demonstration, reported on a cultural festival, and finished the day by covering the Curry Life Awards ceremony. One hand Despite being tired, on the other hand I was happy because I had a very productive day as a journalist.
